Five Unique, Romantic Valentine’s Day Destinations and Adventures
Dinner, flowers and chocolates can be slightly cliché, even though they are usually a safe bet when it comes to celebrating Valentines Days. They are also, the most affordable options for those on a spending budget. It’s the thought that counts, right? Of course it is, so why not do something by “thinking outside of the box” this Valentine’s Day. Create a memory that will last a lifetime.
Here at Lets Fly Cheaper we explored some unique ideas for those looking to make their February, 14th one to remember.
Disneyland. No matter how old you are, there is something very special about this place. Disneyland is not just an exciting adventure for the kids. It can be equally exciting for adults as well. The dining options don’t just stop with pizza, hot dogs and pretzels. For a little romance and adventure, we recommend dining at the Blue Bayou, located inside the world famous, Pirates of the Caribbean ride. The moonlit setting of this restaurant is a perfect getaway from a day of exploring the park. For a slightly, more upscale experience, Napa Rose, located at the Disney California Adventure might be the perfect solution. The restaurant features a seasonal menu along with a huge selection of California’s greatest wines.
A Ski and Snowboard Trip. February is still a peak month for winter sports and the beautiful setting of a ski resort can add a lot of romance. Most resorts feature honeymoon style suites and a variety of dining options. If staying the night isn’t an option and you live fairly near one, spending just the day, can be equally enjoyable.
Embark on some culture. If you’re fortunate enough to live in an area with museums, Valentines Days is a great time to experience some culture with that significant other. Go check out an art museum and re discover you and your spouse’s cultural interests.
Haunted ghost tours. We all know frightening experiences can make those bonds between you and your spouse closer. Visiting haunted attractions might be a great way to do that without having to go through a real situation. Check your local search guides to see who and where ghost tours might be offered.
Visit Napa Valley. For those who love wine, there is no other place like Napa Valley, California. Many of America’s most popular wines come from here and the wine makers want to share them with anyone willing to spend a little time in Napa. We recommend booking a night or two at a cozy bed and breakfast and venturing out for a day of exploring Napa’s wineries on a wine tour. The beautiful country side of Napa in itself, has a lot of romantic charm.
