Best New Year’s Eve Destinations in America to Ring in 2013

Aside from celebrating the New Year within the confines of your own gathering, there are some pretty intense parties going on that will maximize that New Year’s Eve celebration to the fullest. Here are the top hot spots in America to ring in 2013.

  1. The Strip and Fremont  Las Vegas, Nevada – Vegas is the ultimate party spot for New Year’s Eve goers. Nearly half a million people will pack the legendary strip which will be closed off to traffic. In addition to The Strip, the celebration expands to the old down town area under the Fremont Street experience and beyond. Over the years Vegas has improved and expanded the celebration to be America’s number one spot for New Year’s Eve. The celebration also hosts one the biggest fireworks displays of the year.
  2. Times Square, New York City – NYC is traditionally the prime location we all see when we turn on the T.V. It has become the staple of NYE. The party continues well into the early hours of the morning as it expands to various clubs, restaurants and hotels in the area.
  3. Bay Boat Tour, San Francisco, California – The city by the bay offers a variety of unique celebrations in the form of boat tours for those lucky enough to book them early. There are tailored boat tours for both families and adults looking for trouble. Most of them are hosted by DJs and include food and drinks. For those land goes, the city is packed with other outdoor events such as masquerade balls, magicians and acrobats.
  4. Hawaiian Luau, Honolulu – For those looking to welcome a new year on the beach, this is the place to be. Guest can experience the New Year by indulging in traditional Hawaiian style, a luau. Fill up on the buffet of chicken, pork, beef, seafood, lamb while enjoying the fireworks from Waikiki Beach.
  5. Disneyworld, Orlando, Florida – This is by far the place to celebrate the New Year with your family. The event is packed with music, dancing, parades and firework displays. Adults can also enjoy a celebration at Pleasure Island which features a large street party with live entertainment, a buffet, dancing and fireworks.
  6. New Orleans – There’s a slight difference when it comes to the NYE party in New Orleans. The party doesn’t really start until after midnight. Jackson Square hosts the biggest celebration and instead of the tradition ball drop, it’s Baby Bacchus which falls from a perch on top of the Jax Brewery. The fireworks blaze over the Mississippi River and the party continues onto Bourbon Street.
  7. Torchlight Parade, Anchorage, Alaska – Yes, it’s cold but that won’t stop the party. The downtown area hosts musicians, acrobats, magicians just to name a few whom all perform around the skating pond. The event also features some of the best ice sculptures carved by the local artist community.
  8. The Space Needle, Seattle, Washington – This famous landmark is the centerpiece of the cities celebration. The landmark will showcase an incredible fireworks display which will be launched out of 75 different locations around it. Party goers who are lucky enough can enjoy a meal in the Space Needles rotating restaurant as they watch the fireworks.
  9. Peach Drop, Atlanta, Georgia – This southern city hosts the south eastern United States’ largest New Year’s celebration and the nation’s second largest next to Times Square. The event starts at noon to cater to the little party goers with kid’s games, activities and live music. For the adults the party goes well past midnight with fireworks and the dropping of the peach.
