Airweave Mattress and Pillow in JAL’s First Class
On international routes, Japan Airlines have been using airweave mattresses and pillows in Business Class. Beginning this January, the airline is introducing these airweave products to their First Class cabin, via suggestion from many passengers.
airweave mattresses have a “Dual Mode”—one side soft, and the other firm. This will provide passengers in First Class with the best option for their personal comfort preferences. This is the mattress used by Japanese representatives for Winter Olympics 2014.
The aircraft that will be serving these mattresses is the Boeing 777’s JAL SKY SUITES, applicable on the Tokyo to London, Los Angeles and New York, and planning for Tokyo to Paris and Chicago routes.
The mattress’s dual mode is composed of many layers with different material densities, both firm and soft. The higher density material supports the waist and therefore provides ideal lying posture.
The airweave pillow soothes the shoulder by providing ideal lying posture because of the pillow’s S-Line design and increased resilience. It is a different design from the rest of airweave products.
