In the 2011 Business Destinations Travel Awards Oman Air was awarded the “Best Luxury Airline” title to theMiddle East. Once again in 2012, Oman Air managed to win top honours. During the awards ceremony this year they were voted Middle East’s ‘Best Business Class Airline’. The award was given based on the votes given by readers of the Business Destinations Travel magazine which is a monthly magazine published in the UK.

In the last couple of years the airliner has been making significant adjustments in its aircrafts. Last year Oman Air launched Embraer 175s on its short haul routes. The previous year they had introduced Airbus A330s for their long haul destinations. Significant changes were also made in the lounges and the amenities being provided to their premium customers. Also in the last couple years the airliner opened their brand new lounges for First class and Business class passengers at theMuscatinternational airport. They also opened inBangkokairport lounge for their business class passengers.

The business class cabin of Omanair is configured to a 1-2-1 seat formation. Thanks to this arrangement every passengers has direct aisle access so no more disturbing other travelers when any of the passengers need to leave their seat. With just a push of a button the seats in the business class recline and transform into a lie-flat bed. The total measurement of the seat after extension is 82 inches.

Each seat in the business class is equipped with a 17 inch personal screen suing which the passengers can enjoy numerous channels on the in-flight entertainment. The range includes a host of games, music and movies as well as live satellite television. The seats are also equipped with USB and iPad ports that the passengers can make use of for work or to enjoy their own entertainment.
